Jesse Moriarity is the owner of JM Innovates, a consulting firm headquartered in Bangor, Maine focused on creative approaches to fundraising including capital campaigns, management coaching, marketing, strategic planning, board development, and more.
Before starting her own company, Jesse spent eight years at the Heart of Maine United Way, most recently as the Chief Operating & Experience Officer. Her responsibilities included fundraising, marketing, events, daily operations, and donor experience. Under her management United Way raised $15.8 million, elevating the brand and reputation of the organization, including a complete name change and rebranding, surprised and delighted donors, delivered one-of-a-kind experiences like Wingfest Maine and helped to build an incredible team. She transformed organizationaly operations and set them up for successful expansion and growth. Jesse's passion has also brought the art of Charlie Hewitt through his HOPEFUL signs to new locations all over the state.
Prior to United Way, Jesse worked for the University of Maine running their incubator programs and helping thousands of entrepreneurs get their ideas off the ground. Jesse is an Innovation Engineering Black Belt, a member of the Bangor Rotary, and a founding member of Story Slam Bangor. When not at work she enjoys art, staying fit, skiing both downhill and cross country, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family including her husband and three sons.
